Claude Duet AI Companion · Effective and last updated:
Summary
Claude Duet AI Companion is an AI assistant for Chrome. It is free to start; Pro removes the daily limit.
Pro renews automatically until you cancel. The weekly plan starts with a 3-day free trial for new subscribers.
Payments, taxes, invoices and refunds are handled by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record.
AI can be wrong. Check important information and review what the agent will do before you approve it.
Use the service lawfully and respect the rules of the websites you use it on.
1. Agreement
These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of Claude Duet AI Companion (the “service”), including the Chrome extension, our API server and this website, provided by TMV.DEV (Tamara Lapatovene) (“we”, “us”).
By installing or using the service you agree to these Terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you don’t agree, don’t install or use the service. If you use the service for an organization, you confirm that you may accept these Terms on its behalf.
You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use the service. If you are under 18, you need the permission of a parent or guardian.
2. The service
The service is an AI assistant in Chrome’s side panel. At your request it answers questions, reads and summarizes pages, translates and writes, keeps memory, calendar and reminders on your device, runs research with sources, runs scheduled automations, turns your voice into text, and — through the agent — clicks, types and navigates in your browser tab to complete a task you give it.
The service works with your existing browser session. It doesn’t sign in to your accounts for you and doesn’t use any website’s API on your behalf. Features may change as we improve the product.
3. Plans, subscriptions and billing
Free plan. You can use the service for free with a small daily allowance of AI requests, shown in the extension (it resets every day at 00:00 UTC). We may change the free allowance at any time.
Pro. A Pro subscription removes the daily allowance (subject to fair use, see below). It is offered weekly, monthly or yearly. Current prices are shown in the extension and on the Pricing page before you pay, in US dollars; taxes may be added depending on your location.
Free trial. The weekly plan may include a 3-day free trial for new subscribers. If you don’t cancel before the trial ends, the subscription starts and is charged automatically. One trial per person.
Payments. Payments are processed by Dodo Payments, our merchant of record, which also handles taxes, invoices and refunds under its own terms. By subscribing you authorize recurring charges to your payment method at the start of each billing period until you cancel.
Cancellation. You can cancel any time in the extension: Settings → Manage subscription, or write to us and we will cancel it for you. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and Pro stays active until then. Uninstalling the extension or deleting your data doesn’t cancel the subscription.
Refunds. Payments are generally non-refundable, except where required by law or under Dodo Payments’ refund policy. If something went wrong, contact us and we’ll help.
Consumers in the EU and UK. You may have a statutory right to withdraw from a purchase within 14 days. By starting Pro immediately you ask us to begin providing it during that period; if you withdraw, you may be charged for the part already provided, as allowed by law. Nothing in these Terms limits your mandatory consumer rights.
Price changes. We may change prices for future billing periods. We’ll tell you in advance, and you can cancel before the new price applies.
Fair use. To keep the service reliable for everyone, very high, automated or abusive use may be limited, even on Pro. Pro is linked to the browser install where it was purchased; you can move it with “Restore purchase” using your checkout email and order ID.
4. Acceptable use
Don’t use the service to: break the law or help others break it; infringe intellectual property, privacy or other rights; send spam or bulk messages; scrape or access websites against their terms or technical limits; bypass CAPTCHAs, paywalls or security measures; create or spread malware; harass, threaten or deceive people; create sexual content involving minors, non-consensual intimate content or content that sexualizes real people; or attack, overload, reverse-engineer or resell the service.
You must also follow the usage policies of the AI providers the service uses, including Anthropic’s Usage Policy.
5. The AI agent
The agent acts in your browser tab only on a task you give it. It shows its steps, won’t type into password fields or fields recognized as payment fields, and asks for your approval before steps that send, submit, publish, pay, buy, book, delete, sign in or change account settings.
You are responsible for the tasks you give the agent, for the steps you approve, and for following the terms of the websites where it acts. Review each request for approval carefully; the agent can misread a page or choose a wrong element. Stop it at any time with the Stop button.
6. AI output
Answers, summaries, translations, research and agent results are generated automatically and may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated or offensive. Sources in research may be wrong or unavailable. Check important information before relying on it, and review text before you send or publish it.
The output is not professional advice. Don’t rely on it for medical, legal, financial, safety-critical or other decisions where a mistake could cause harm.
7. Your content
You keep all rights to what you type, the pages you share with the assistant and the output you receive. You give us a limited permission to process this content only to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for having the right to use the content you send. If you send us feedback or ideas, we may use them without any obligation to you.
8. Third-party services and websites
The service relies on third parties, including OpenRouter, Anthropic, Google and Dodo Payments, and works on websites run by others. Their services are governed by their own terms; we aren’t responsible for them, and their availability may affect the service.
9. License and intellectual property
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the extension for its intended purpose. The extension, website, design, texts and logos belong to us or our licensors. Don’t copy, modify, distribute, sell or reverse-engineer them, except as allowed by law.
10. Trademarks
Claude Duet AI Companion is an independent product. It is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Anthropic, OpenRouter or Google LLC. The service gives you access to Claude models through Anthropic’s API; the name “Claude” is used only to describe the AI technology the service runs on. Claude is a trademark of Anthropic. Chrome and Gemini are trademarks of Google LLC. Other names belong to their owners.
11. Availability and changes
We work to keep the service available but don’t guarantee it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may add, change or remove features, and we may suspend the service for maintenance or security. If we stop offering Pro, we will tell you in advance and you won’t be charged for periods we no longer provide.
12. Disclaimer
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.
13. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, revenue or goodwill, arising from your use of the service or actions you approved for the agent. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 50 if you paid nothing.
Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that can’t be excluded by law, such as liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your mandatory consumer rights.
14. Indemnity
If you use the service in breach of these Terms or the law, or in a way that infringes others’ rights, you agree to cover reasonable claims and costs that result from it, to the extent permitted by law.
15. Suspension and termination
You can stop using the service at any time by uninstalling it (and cancelling Pro if you have it). We may suspend or end access for abuse, fraud, non-payment or violations of these Terms. Sections that by their nature should survive (such as intellectual property, disclaimers and limitation of liability) continue after termination.
16. Governing law and disputes
Please contact us first at tamaralapatovene@gmail.com — most problems can be solved quickly. These Terms are governed by the laws of the country where the publisher has its place of business, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence and may bring claims in its courts.
17. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. The “Last updated” date shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the extension before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated Terms.
18. Other terms
These Terms and the Privacy Policy are the whole agreement between you and us about the service. If a provision is found invalid, the rest stays in force. Not enforcing a provision isn’t a waiver. You may not transfer your rights under these Terms; we may transfer ours as part of a sale or reorganization of the product.
